Thank you to the AVID class and Mr. Rodriguez at Apollo Middle School in Tucson AZ for the chance to share my story! All the students have such great goals and I can’t wait to see what they accomplish in life!
We were very excited about coming back out to the night races at Glen Helen for the 2 to last round of the Lucas Oil Offroad Regional Series in So. California. Testing the for a few weeks prior to the event had the car working great and we canted to show how well we could perform racing the best in the business. Unfortunately we didn’t get the chance to show our speed, we got one lap out in practice and a Rod Bearing spun in the motor and ended our weekend promptly.
Once we knew we could not participate we helped out the rest of the team and tuned their cars and helped get them ready for the racing! Turning a bad situation into something positive we drove down to San Diego and were able to meet with my sister and eat at our favorite breakfast spot in Del Mar, right next to the beach before heading back to the monsoons in AZ.
All in all a bad weekend turned out great and we had a blast seeing family, great friends, and all of our racing family as well.
Lake Elsinore provided us with some great racing and so much experience, a crash in practice looked like our weekend was done, but with help from Bryan McCormick, friends, and teh UTV Wolfpack we had the car back on track for qualifying and brought home a 4th place finish in the main event! Stoked!!!
Hometown Race in Tucson was a blast!!! Thanks to everyone that came out and supported us! Tons of great pictures to check out.
Man! We all had such a great time out in California at Lake Elsinore for round 2 of the Lucas Oil Offroad Regional Series! We qualified very well and had great speed for our 3rd race, moved up through the pack, but ended up getting our race cut short due to another driver. Can;t wait for the next race in our hometown (Tucson, AZ)! Come check it out May 9th & 10th under the lights at Tucson International Raceway. See you guys there!
Thank you everyone that helped this weekend! Shayna Archey having to find an axle, all my friends for helping, and especially my dad for fixing the car after I tore it up! I couldn’t have done it without everyone. I am happy to have learned a ton more this weekend and repay them with a good 3rd place result! Next Arizona race is in Tucson May 9th & 10th, so lets get everyone to come out!
I love RC racing and jumped on the opportunity to talk with LiveRC.com about how I was able to get into it.
Some photos of the event. Thank you to all my family and friends for all their help, I couldn’t have done it without them!!!
