Life gets crazy sometimes, how you navigate it is up to you. Someone recently reminded me of these life stories I shared, so I thought I would share them with you guys. I hope if help you and gives you a bit of drive to make your life the bet you can!!!

George Hammel was Paralyzed from a spinal cord injury racing Professional Motocross back in 1998. With his dedication and hard work he has made a miraculous recovery, does motivational speaking for large groups, helps individuals try and overcome any obstacles they are facing in life, has completed an Ironman Triathlon, the 111 Mile El Tour De Tucson bicycle race, participated in the X-Games, and is now a Professional UTV Racer for Supercuts and the Rockstar Energy UTV Wolfpack. We at AZ Extreme always like to see people that give back and never give up so we invited George to share his story, we know you will like it just as much as we do!!!

I just came back from a couple trips to Glen Helen Raceway in So. Cal., and it really hit home. I was paralyzed coming down Mt. St. Helens (the largest hill on the course). The craziest thing to me was that the feelings weren't sadness. Of course I am bummed that I can't race motocross anymore, but holy cow, I am lucky to be walking and still able to shred some Glen Helen dirt! I am just doing it on 4 wheels in my Yamaha YXZ 1000R instead of on my Yamaha YZ 125. Seeing the guys riding their bikes up and down the hills did get me a bit jealous, but then I started to ask myself, maybe I could hit some of those jumps and hills in the YXZ! I guess it's that racer/rider mentality. If you see a mound of dirt while driving by it on the highway, you think "that would be a sweet dirtbike jump!" What moto guy hasn't thought that, right? My emotions subsided quickly as I took a look at how much work I put back into my life and how lucky I am to be able to still race!

- 3200 miles driven ✅
- 1200 miles flying ✅
- probably 150 tacos ✅
- met a new person each each ✅
- helped at least 3 people a day ✅
- well over 500 hours of just listening ✅
- great convos business and personal ✅
- and the best part! Just Livin ❤️

Really makes you take a step back and love life! Hug your friends, family, and loved ones. Make some new ones, and most of all just Live ❤️❤️
